Welcome to weeks 37 and 38 of our Social Security experiment!
This month, we still had lots going on. I did a lot of side hustle delivery routes to make up for that A/C repair from last week. We also enjoyed another FREE concert from my favorite local band, and I had a fun mountain day out with girlfriends (and it was not pricey at all, since I do not drink wine! 😂)
Justin’s parents’ 50th anniversary
Justin’s parents were going to go out of town for their 50th anniversary, but his younger brother got sick, so they postponed their trip. We HAD to celebrate with something. So we brought over an amazing cake from a local bakery. It was SO delicious!! 😋

Food truck night
My stepmom once removed (story for another day!) runs a premiere food truck business in the Atlanta area. We had a fun night out at one of the last events of the season! This fun photo booth was completely free!

Deals on food and pumpkin muffins
I got a couple of good deals on food this month. Though they aren’t essential, I tend to drink the Bai drinks on my delivery routes as a reward. I also made some keto-friendly pumpkin muffins, that turned out quite good!

Girls day out
As I mentioned, I’m not a drinker, so that in itself saves a lot of money. I can enjoy “mocktails” if I want for significantly less! I think I spent less than $10 for this lovely day out with friends. We brought snacks. Totally fun day!!

FREE concert!
Are you telling me I get to enjoy a THIRD free concert from my favorite local band?! Absolutely fantastic. They play 80s music, as I’m sure I’ve mentioned before. So fun!! I wore my light up shoes, of course.

Beautiful colors
The fall foliage (as Jim Gaffigan says) this month is really quite spectacular. I mean, look at these colors! 😍
I get to see all kinds of amazing trees on my delivery routes, and taking a drive through the mountains doesn’t cost too much, making for some inexpensive fall fun. 🍁
Budget update
It’s getting down to the wire, so I need to do a lot of side hustle routes to make up for that A/C repair. We’ll see how we do!
