Woohoo, it’s a new month! It’s also Justin’s birthday month, our anniversary, and Justin’s Dad’s birthday.
This week, we celebrated Justin’s birthday. We splurged on dinner using some birthday money he got, and earlier in the day we went to a fun putt putt place that was fairly budget-friendly, $15 per person.

We’re doing good on our month so far, but I have already budgeted some money for our other celebrations. Thankfully, we have some gift cards we can use to celebrate our anniversary! ๐ฅ
Normally, every year we go on an anniversary trip. One year, we saved BIG TIME by using credit card rewards for a Marriott stay. A $1,400 beach trip only cost us $95!
This year, we decided not to go on one due to our experiment. But, we will still take a couple days off of work and do something fun!
Aldi shopping
I went to Aldi and got a couple good deals on keto-friendly food.

Meals
Justin smoked some chicken and it was SO GOOD. If he could make all of our meals, probably both of us would be very happy about it!

The third meal is a mostly-Aldi meal. And yes, that last meal with the leftover chicken has quite a lot of green beans. Thankfully we buy them in bulk!
Deals
This week, I saved on some keto flour at Publix, and I got a t-shirt at Target for $5. Saved $26.98!

It was a good week, and we’re being more careful about planning out our expenses for the month. I added in our deficit from the previous month as well.
Since it’s tax season, I thought this meme was appropriate:

Hope you have a great week!! ๐
