SSB Week 5: Shopping at the farm, keto treats, Vitamin Shoppe deals, $1.50 Costco hot dog

What a week! I’ll likely post our next update at the end of the month. We kind of blew through a lot of our monthly budget this week buying supplements and things we needed to stock up on. We’ll see where we are by the end of the month! 😂

This week, we went to a farm to stock up on food, I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and found sales on supplements, and we also went to Costco and Justin got a cheap dinner. (It was a splurge from keto.)

Before we went to the farm, we decided to get some sandwiches at our favorite sandwich place, Pic-A-Nick Basket. Their sandwiches are so delicious! So yes, keto splurge. They make the BEST homemade southern sandwiches.

This is the view from there. So pretty!!

Then, off to the farm. We spent about $100 on grassfed beef, cheese, and butter. I often joke that the cows live in a better place than I do!

Next, we went to Costco where we got a few things including Pepcid (it’s so much cheaper there!) and Justin got the infamous $1.50 hot dog. Clearly it was a keto splurge day.

The next day was church. The cherry blossom trees are so pretty this time of year! It was a great service about being passionate about your faith.

That afternoon, I decided to use what I had to make some keto-friendly treats. I used some cereal my mom had left, as well as other items I had on hand, such as sugar-free white chocolate chips and cranberries. They tasted pretty good! I need to make them with more protein and less fat and carbs next time.

For dinners, we had gotten some organic lettuce from the farm, and we made salads with that. We had also gotten some frozen cod from Costco, and that was a great meal with 30 grams of protein per filet!

During the week, I went out to get some supplements at The Vitamin Shoppe. I always tend to find something in the sale section! I got a sleep supplement for my mom for 75% off, as well as some stevia sweetener for 75% off.

Love that the daffodils are already blooming. Hope you have a great week!! 😊
