This week, we already got down to $10.94.
Yikes.
Hope we make it. LOL!
How on earth did we do that?!
I did spend a little more than I meant to for Valentine’s Day, but it was worth it to send my Grandmother flowers.
I also stocked up on chicken during that BOGO sale at Publix. We saved about $40 on chicken!
The other stuff was just random — supplements and groceries, mostly. Eye drops. Gas. Justin goes out for lunch and breakfast once a week instead of eating a sandwich. (I don’t blame him!)
I sent my uncle a travel mug for his birthday.
Thankfully, there is good news.
I had a credit card reward redemption that put $33.64 back in our pocket. And we have our Costco rewards check for the year that was just sent to us. So, we’re probably going to use that to get us through the month. (I can count that as an exchange for Grandma’s flowers, right?) 🙂

On Monday, Justin was off and I decided to take the day off too.
We went to a military museum about an hour away. There were many interesting historical items from World War II, as well as memorabilia from the area. It’s always sobering to me to visit a military museum. I’m so grateful for the sacrifices our troops have made! Many never came home, and there was a display for POWs.

The museum only cost $10 per person to get in, and after that, we went to Toccoa Falls. Those were probably the most beautiful falls I had ever seen!

For meals this week, we had Kevin’s Mongolian Beef, baked chicken, burgers, and taco salad. The baked chicken with vegetables has become my new favorite meal. Good thing too, because we have tons of it!

I made cloud bread for the first time. It was… interesting. I subbed eggs for egg white powder. But I made a critical mistake: I forgot the cream of tartar! So it was completely flat.

The taste was decent. Next time I will make it with cream cheese instead of cottage cheese and will remember the cream of tartar. It looked so cool when I put it in the oven! But the result belongs on Fail Blog.

We’ll be stretching our dollars for the final stretch of the month.
Next month, I think we’ll be better about the gifts aspect, make cheaper meals, and I’ll likely go to Trader Joe’s more for groceries. We likely will avoid any dinners out! (We went a few times this month: Once for Valentine’s, and spent a little more than our gift card allowed, once to breakfast, and once to Chick-fil-A for a total of $100 out-to-eat spending.)
And if you need to hide your pet from your landlord, I found this great hack:

Hope you have a great week!! 😊
