SSB Week 11: Our 15-year anniversary, selling on Poshmark, keto-friendly treats, and I WON 🤩

This week could have just been all about our anniversary.

We celebrated BIG, due to a friend giving us an amazing gift card to a resort for Christmas!

I also sold a couple of things on Poshmark and made more keto-friendly treats.

But then, at the same resort, I won something HUGE. I will tell that story at the end.

Our 15-year anniversary

It truly does not feel like 15 years. It feels like we got married yesterday! I know the time has passed and we have been through a lot together, but time really does fly.

Justin got me flowers, and we gave each other cards. I gave him a handmade ring I had bought in January before the experiment. Though our friend got us the gift card, we maximized it by planning out our meals and ordering the least expensive options. They were still very good!

What have we learned over these 15 years? To be honest, I think our marriage works because of Justin. He is so patient and kind, and I’m so grateful our marriage is a night-and-day difference compared to my parents. Sure, I brought the healthy food and the green vegetables. And we met at church, and that was a big deal too. I won’t go into all of that here, but our faith plays a big part in each of our lives. That has made a vital difference in our marriage, too.

Selling on Poshmark

Two things I had sold on Poshmark! My goal is to sell more before the month is out. If you want, check out my store!

Keto treats

I have discovered I really love making no-sugar, keto-friendly treats. I tend to use monk fruit as the sweetener, and my goal is to make something Justin would like. This week, I had success! I made two kinds of protein muffins, apple and cranberry, and he liked both of them. He gave me some suggestions on how to improve. I used the keto flour I got for a deal from week 9. I also tried making chia seed pudding for the first time. I used a vegan protein drink I have, so it was not only keto, it was vegan, too! I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was (despite the unsightly texture!)

The Egg Hunt

I truly could not believe this. On Easter Sunday before church, we scooted back to the resort we went to because we had learned they were doing an Easter egg hunt for adults.

To my COMPLETE surprise, we got a golden egg!

And what did it have?! A 2-NIGHT STAY AT THE RESORT. 😱😱😱

Wow.

It appears it pays to be childlike!

Hope you all have a great week!!! 😊
